Cura Solace Healthcare has opened a new Level II neonatal unit at its Nanaimo campus, giving families across Vancouver Island access to specialized care for premature and medically complex newborns without transferring to an out-of-region hospital. The eight-bed unit is staffed around the clock by neonatal nurses and pairs directly with our Maternity & Newborn Care program, so mothers and babies can stay on the same campus — and, where appropriate, transition home with support from our caregiver network.
